Haidian District of Beijing has owned 138 football experimental and specialist schools, including 78 district-level football experimental schools, 33 municipal football specialist schools and 27 national football specialist schools, since the district became the first “comprehensive pilot district for campus football” in the country in February 2017, according to the “Two Sessions” of Haidian District on January 15, 2018.
It is learned that since 2017, Haidian District has held a series of conferences and activities related to the construction of comprehensive pilot district for campus football, such as establishing district-level, school-district-level and school-level football development systems, innovating leadership and management mechanisms of campus football and promoting teaching reform on the “1+X” physical education curriculum model.
It has successfully held its first campus football league during which 145 matches among 75 elite united teams from 17 school districts of Haidian were held, a positive attempt in refining the mechanism of school-district league.
In addition, the district has developed a campus footballer registration and management platform to explore and improve the management and training model of campus football talents in the district.
Next, Haidian Education Commission will focus on maintaining the overall competitive level of school football teams, creating a campus football brand image, improving supervision and evaluation indicators of campus football experimental schools and establishing a mechanism for cultivating backup football talents.
