Beijing’s Fangshan to build recreation center

In 2018, a batch of towns with special characteristics like Changgou Fund Town, Liangxiang Zhongyi Regimen Town, Yancun Fintech Town and Chengguan Redwine Town will spring up in Fangshan district, reported Beijing Evening News on January 17, 2018.

Taking Shidu and Qinglong Lake areas as key points, Fangshan will launch research on “International exchanges and recreation center” and promote tourism brand and competitiveness.

Fangshan will comprehensively start construction of the Xishan-Yongding River Cultural Belt, make conservation and development planning of Fangshan district and a five-year-action plan, and hold a series of activities to commemorate the 100th anniversary of discovering Peking Man Site at Zhoukoudian.

Fangshan will also do a good job of the protection and development for the Liuli River Archaeological Site Park and traditional villages like Shuiyu Village, and push forward protection projects of the Jin Tombs Site, Zhenjiangying Site and Liu Ji Tombs of Tang Dynasty(618-907).

At the same time, Fangshan will forge two Valley Economic areas of municipal level: Shidu and Youlan Mountain in Zhoukoudian.
