Last week, Beijing's first hospital for plants opened in Xicheng district. Experts from the Beijing Academy of Agriculture and Forestry Sciences will serve as doctors at the hospital, offering free consultation for plants suffering from diseases and pests, the Beijing Times reported.
In the future, more plant doctors are expected to be available in urban areas to help residents build balcony gardens by nixing common plant diseases and pests such as gray mold and aphids. The plant hospital is expected to help make Beijing greener.
