Beijing citizens can enjoy 37 public services via their smart phones, such as checking provident fund, booking sports venues or finding books in the Capital Library of China. Things that took hours long traffic, queuing and business handling are now done by several pokes on a smart phone screen in a sofa at home. The report of 2015 “Internet+” urban service by the Alipay showed that the popularity of the public Internet service in Beijing ranks the first in China, followed by Shanghai and Hangzhou.
These “Internet+” public services can be accessed via the Alipay’s app 城市服务, the website of www.beijing.cn or the app named 北京服务您.
