A total of 20 electric cars are parking in rows to the west side of the Beijing International Convention Center, ready to serve the fourth session of the 12th Beijing Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference for the first time in the following days.
The head of the General Office of the municipal political advisory body said, “These cars are to be put into service around the clock for political advisers, governmental and media staff for free during the meetings.”
This cooperative move with BAIC Group is,on the one hand, to facilitate meeting participants in case of the odd-and-even car plate number rule taken into effect, on the other hand, to promote the green driving idea, according to the head of the General Office.
BAIC staff is to set workbench to handle E-car usage applications 24 hours a day on the ground floor of the Beijing North Star Continental Grand Hotel from the afternoon of Jan 20.
