CPPCC Beijing Committee annual session kicks off

The Fifth Session of the 12th CPPCC Beijing Committee kicked off on January 12 afternoon, and will last five and a half days.

How to relocate non-essential functions of the capital, improve environmental protection and upgrade city management level will be discussed during two symposiums of this year’s session.

In addition, innovation-driven strategy, industry structure upgrade and population control will also be discussed.

Part of the session will be live broadcast by Beijing News Broadcasting Station (AM828, FM 100.6), BTV Channel, BTV News Channel, qianlong.com and btime.com.

For this year, qianlong.com and btime.com will also webcast group discussions and cross-group meetings as well as speeches at the conference and the press conference during the session.
