The charging cards for electric cars should be unified so that they can be used on all charging poles, or the charging poles allow cash payment in Beijing, according to a proposal made by Guo Geng, a political advisor of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) Beijing Committee, who attended the Fifth Session of the 12th CPPCC Beijing Committee on January 12, 2017.

“I bought an electric car in 2014. I have driven it for three years but I have encountered many charging problems,” Guo said. He expressed that the residential community he lived in doesn’t allow installing charging poles for electric cars, and neither do many office areas, meeting places and schools in Beijing, which has become a big problem for the use of electric cars. So he suggested that the residential communities in Beijing should be encouraged to install charging poles for electric cars.

Besides, now the charging cards like power company charging cards and APP special charging cards can only be used at designated charging stations in Beijing. Therefore he suggested the charging cards should be unified for use on all charging poles or the charging poles allow cash payment in the future.
