The Fifth Session of the 14th Municipal People’s Congress of Beijing kicks off

The Fifth Session of the 14th Municipal People’s Congress of Beijing kicked off at 9:00 am, January 14.

During the opening and the first plenary, Acting Vice Mayor, Cai Qi reported the Municipal Work of 2016 to the congress.

In the six and a half days session, the municipal congress will examine the government work of 2016 in city’s economic and social development and their expenditure, and will review the daft plan and budget for 2017.

The annual session for this year consists of nine agendas during which three news conferences will be held, focusing on reform, livability and two draft acts, and nine events will be livestreamed.
