In 2017, Beijing Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) CPPCC will strive to improve the effectiveness of consultations and carry out flexible and diverse consultations before the city releases major public policies, said Ji Lin, chairman of CPPCC Beijing Committee, in the 12th CPPCC Beijing Standing Committee’s annual work report during the 5th Session of 12th CPPCC Beijing Committee Thursday.
Ji expressed that the committee will persist in performing their duties for people and promote the city’s reform and development and people’s livelihood improvement with the people of Beijing.
In 2017, the committee will stick to the annual work plan to carry out consultation activities to provide reference for the city’s scientific decision-making in the aspects of further deepening the reform of the service industry, promoting the construction of the national science and technology center, strengthening the construction of historical and cultural heritages and promoting the construction of historical and cultural city, increasing the efforts to ease the central city’s population, alleviating the traffic congestion in the urban area, and improving the ecological environment.
In addition, different political consultative conferences will be held to make draft regulations on tourism, and the committee will work with the CPPCC committees in Tianjin and Hebei to discuss on the regional water environment treatment.
