Guo Hong, director of Administrative Committee of Zhongguancun Science Park expressed after the first press conference of the fifth session of the 14th Beijing Municipal People’s Congress on January 15 afternoon that Zhongguancun will strive to upgrade its innovation and entrepreneurship by advancing the comprehensive pilot reform in industry regulation, administrative examination and business licenses approval and by promoting the construction of national innovation and entrepreneurship demonstration base in Haidian District of Beijing.
When answering the question of the “Internet+ bubble” and “capital winter” in 2017, Guo said it is not prominent in Zhongguancun at present. He explained that it is a common phenomenon that some enterprises failed in the competition after a great many of enterprises had been started with accumulated investment in a short period with new industries, technological revolution and industrial changes.
“However, the elements of these failed enterprises are valuable, which will be quickly integrated into some more competitive enterprises to become the leading ones in industries. This is an entrepreneurial law of replacing old enterprises with new ones, that reflects an active innovation atmosphere in Zhongguancun,” he added.
