Wang Baoshen, deputy to Beijing Municipal People’s Congress and president of Beijing Uni Construction Group Co, Ltd (BUCC), expressed that prefabricated buildings will lead traditional building industry transformation when interviewed on January 18, 2017.
Wang said, “It is key to energy saving, environmental protection and emission reduction to reform traditional building mode, promote prefabricated buildings and stick to green development, and prefabs will lead traditional building industry transformation.” According to him, compared to traditional buildings, prefabs save water by 70 percent, reduce construction waste and dust by 80 percent, and cut construction time by 50 percent.
Wang introduced that a professional third party team would conduct a study on project features, work out plans for different construction phases, offer smart monitoring and upload monitoring results to a big database so that measures like dust moving will be taken automatically according to environmental changes
In addition, Wang also told the reporter that BUUC has been devoted to the research and development as well as the promotion and application of “passive house with extremely low energy consumption”. Warm in winter and cool in summer, passive house consumes little energy. Together with photovoltaic power generation technology, the house can also generate electricity.
