As of the end of 2018, the number of the residents signing a family doctor has reached 8.17 million in Beijing, with an overall signing rate of 38 percent and a rate of above 90 percent among key populations, according to Beijing Municipal Health Commission recently.
In 2018, the commission further standardized the family doctor signing process, enriched family doctor services, determined the service packages for five key populations of elders, pregnant women, children, the disabled and patients with chronic diseases, promoted a new way of medical appointment and treatment and conducted refined health management for signed patients.
In addition, on the basis of self-examination and self-evaluation in districts, a third party was entrusted to carry out the evaluation of the quality of the services provided by family doctors so as to ensure the quality of the services in agreements.
