Beijing’s Haidian district will increase 22,800 enrollments in kindergartens in 2019 and 2020, reported Beijing Daily on January 8, 2019.
The problem of enrolling to a kindergarten is gradually being resolved in Haidian district.
In 2018, this district enrolled 6,800 more children in new kindergartens and extensions by efforts of the education commission, subdistricts and townships, and the social power.
The education commission expanded inclusive education resources and added 5,304 enrollments in 2018.
It has succeeded in transforming 11 private kindergartens into inclusive ones. Wenquan Township has built an 18-class kindergarten by self-raised funds. It can provide 540 inclusive enrollments of high-quality.
So far, totally six private kindergartens have been approved and they will add 990 more enrollments in Zhongguancun subdistrict, Wanliu area and Haidian Township where the problem of enrolling to a kindergarten is serious.
